Calgary hosts Ukrainian protest demanding Russia be declared a ‘state sponsor of terrorism’

Calgarians will gather for a rally and march on Sunday, Oct. 2 at the Holodomor Monument at 3 p.m.

Those protesting are asking Canada to declare Russia “a state sponsor of terrorism” and expose the barbaric actions that are taking place daily.
Russia continues to commit genocide in Ukraine with one of the most recent atrocities including launching a missile stroke near a humanitarian corridor near Zaporizhzhia killing 30 people and injuring 88 others.

Russia also seized temporarily occupied territories including Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhya.
The Ukrainian Canadian Congress Calgary Branch is asking Canada and its allies for declaring Russia a state sponsor of terrorism, expelling Russian diplomats from Canada, and suspending and issuing travel visits to Canada for citizens of the Russian Federation, according to their organization’s release.
