Mounties in Cochrane are looking for a “person of interest” in connection with what is believed to have been an attempted child luring last month.
The RCMP says an 11-year-old girl was walking along White Avenue in Bragg Creek around 4 p.m. on Sept. 19 when a vehicle pulled up onto the grass next to her.
An “older male” driving the grey Dodge Ram pick up is said to have spoken to the girl from inside the vehicle. However, investigators say the girl kept walking without interacting with the man, who is said to have driven away.
The RCMP has released a sketch of the man with the hopes of identifying him. The man is described as being between 50 to 60 years old with thinning short hair and a long beard.
The vehicle is described as an older model Dodge Ram pick up truck with a dent in the driver’s side door.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cochrane RCMP at 403.851.8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.8477.
