A Calgary cleaner is giving back to the community and helping people look their best for their next career move.

A local Calgary cleaner is helping people nail their job interviews by providing cleaning services for free to anyone ahead of a job interview.

If you have an upcoming job interview but your outfit has a stain or a wrinkle a personal care cleaner will be able to help.

Sheldon Fishman, owner of Fishman’s Personal Care Cleaners has decided to offer free cleaning for anyone heading to a job interview. He says it’s the least he can do, to give back to the community that has supported him.

“If we can do something to help people out, we’re all about it.”

The business has been in Calgary for three generations and Fishman says he’s happy to give back.

“The reason we’re doing that is we’ve been in the community for more than 75 years. It’s a way to give back but more importantly, it’s a way to help people feel confident in order to do well at their job interview,” said Fishman.

There is no end date for the free service, and Fishman says it is available at all of their locations across the city.

“It makes me feel like we’ve done the right thing. We didn’t do it for any sort of notoriety, we just did it because it was the right thing to do.”

Fishman says he is running this service to help the community that has supported him and show his values through his work.

One customer walked in, pointed at the sign on the door, and said “I don’t need that service, [but] ideas like that are why you’ve got my business.”

“Sometimes you have to give to get. and that’s the reward of it all, just somebody saying thank you. And that makes it worth it,” said Fishman.

He says his team plans on continuing this service at all of the Fishman locations across the city and doesn’t have an end date; they just plan on helping whoever they can.
