Five Calgarians are facing a combined 48 charges in connection with a drug trafficking investigation that resulted in a large weapons seizure.
According to Calgary police, a stash of weaponry, including dozens of blades and edged weapons, “imitation” firearms, and stolen property, were seized Wednesday.
Investigators say they were first tipped off in April 2021.
As a result of the investigation, officers got a search warrant for a home on Rossdale Raod SW in the community of Rosscarrock in early October.
Police found nearly 100 edged weapons that include knives and machetes, 11 firearms and imitation firearms, stolen property and identification documents, cell phones, a motorcycle, two bicycles, and 130 grams of meth, fentanyl, and crack cocaine.

The five people, who are between the ages of 30 and 52, have been arrested. Their charges include possession of weapons and imitation weapons for a dangerous purpose, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Thirty-year-old Crystal Lynn Leighton is facing the most charges, with 25 related to possession of weapons, possession of a controlled substance, possession of identity documents, and 46 breaches of court conditions.
“Successfully seizing guns, other weapons and drugs off the street takes the coordination of many units across our Service as well as with partner agencies,” said CPS Inspector Shannon Scott.
