Calgary police warn of high-risk offender who targets children

Calgary police are warning the public about a high-risk offender who was released Wednesday after serving two years in prison for sexual touching of a minor.
Police say 66-year-old Brian Keith Davey has three previous convictions each for sexual interference of a minor and invitation to sexual touching.
In addition, officers say Davey has convictions for committing gross indecency and indecent acts.
Most of his crimes were in Calgary, and his targets were children.
Officers say Davey is under a three-year probation order and will be monitored by Calgary police.
Police describe Davey as being 5’9″, 260 lbs, with grey hair and balding, and has blue eyes.
In the interest of public safety, the following public information and warning is in regards to the release of a high risk offender.

Investigators say the release of Davey is of public interest with the intent to take “suitable precautionary measures.” However, they are asking people to not embark on any form of vigilante action.
CPS says the High-Risk Offender Program monitors offenders who have been released by the Calgary courts into the city, and who police determine to have a “high risk” to reoffend.
