Woman in life-threatening condition after hit-and-run in Calgary Forest Lawn

A woman was taken to hospital with a life-threatening head injury after she was hit by a car in Calgary’s southeast community of Forest Lawn Thursday.
Police say it was a hit-and-run, and it happened just before 8 p.m. at 17 Avenue SE and 44 Street SE.
The 27-year-old woman was crossing the street at the intersection when she was hit by a dark-coloured sedan.

Officers say the sedan, which may have front-end damage on the passenger side was last seen travelling westbound on 17 Avenue SE.
Roads in the area were closed for hours while police investigated Thursday night.
