Three people have been charged in the theft of 300 plaques in the city’s northwest in August.
Around three hundred bronze memorial plaques that commemorated deceased loved ones were stolen, as well as a number of bronze flower vases from Queen’s Park Cemetery in August.
Calgary police have charged 40-year-old AJ Trodhie Irlandez, 36-year-old Matthew Keith Woodford, and 46-year-old Dawn Louise Smith.

They are each facing a charge of possession of stolen property over $5,000.
Police say Irlandez and Smith will appear in court on Tuesday. Woodford was supposed to be in court on Nov. 7 and is now wanted on warrants.
The plaques were found several days later by a resident after they were stolen, but they were defaced.
Investigators say the plaques and vases were likely stolen to sell the bronze within them because of the rising cost of metal.
