Calgary man wanted Canada-wide in connection to human-trafficking

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a Calgary man police suspect of “exploiting women for financial benefit from sexual services.”

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) issued the warrant Thursday after an investigation that started in February 2021, where it says multiple survivors have been found.

Tevin Laramee-Watson, 30, is facing 10 different charges, most of which are for human trafficking offences, one for assault causing bodily harm, and another for uttering threats.

Police say he has ties to several cities across the country, including Vancouver, Montreal, Winnipeg, and Grande Prairie.

“We want to ensure this perpetrator is located and placed in custody, and we are asking for the public’s help in locating him. Our greatest concern is that more women, in different cities, could be victimized,” said Staff Sgt. Colleen Bowers, ALERT Calgary.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Laramee-Watson is asked to call Calgary police at 403-266-1234, their local police service or jurisdiction, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
