A Canadian Pacific Train has derailed south of Calgary near Taber on Highway 3, involving 11 train cars Wednesday morning.
Taber RCMP say it happened just after 12 a.m. and that the train cars derailed between Highway 3 and Highway 36 to Range Road 163 and 162.
There are no injuries, and nothing dangerous or hazardous has spilled.
CP’s police are on the scene with highway control, and traffic is being controlled to one lane east and west on Highway 3.
RCMP say motorists should expect delays while the derailment is being cleaned up.
In addition, they recommend drivers avoid travel in the area but, if necessary, to slow down and adjust to road conditions.
A media representative with Taber RCMP says mounties are no longer at the scene, and adds they are unaware of what was inside the train cars.
