A man has been sent to hospital in critical life-threatening condition after a stabbing in the Brentwood area in the city’s northwest Friday evening.
CityNews reports that police tape surrounds an area that includes the Brentwood Co-op Redevelopment, otherwise known as Brentwood Commons, which is near the Brentwood Village Mall.
Calgary police say they responded to calls of an assault and arrived at the scene just before 6 p.m.
EMS told CityNews that the man is between 25-30 years old and was sent to hospital at around 6:30 p.m. with stab wounds.
“I saw a body there,” said one resident of Brentwood Commons. “And EMS was … treating the guy. And I’m really not sure what happened here. So I’m just waiting for the police to let me enter my home,” the man said.
