Alberta RCMP: Southbound QEII 2 lanes open after crash near Carstairs

Alberta RCMP say southbound lanes on Highway 2 near Carstairs, which is north of Calgary, have opened after a crash made traffic “impassable.”
Mounties say the area is slippery, and to travel with caution.
According to 511 Alberta, Highway 2 is partly covered in snow, with some icy, slippery conditions.
It happened just south of the junction with Highway 581.
CityNews received calls about a couple of semis in a ditch before 10 a.m.
There is no word on any injuries related to the crash.

The city saw around 14 centimetres of snow on Friday night and continued snowfall over the weekend. Monday is seeing light snow that is continuing to impact roads.
