Man wanted for robbing casino: Calgary police

Calgary police are looking for a suspect after a casino was robbed Tuesday evening.

Police say a man entered the Deerfot Inn and Casino at 35 Street SE just before 10 p.m.

Officers say he approached employees, allegedly telling them he had a weapon, and then demanded cash.

Investigators say he ran away from the casino. However, they are not sure how much money was stolen.

No injuries were reported.

Officers say the suspect was wearing a medical face mask, a black jacket, a black toque and blue jeans with a heavy build.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call police at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
