Lethbridge police investigating high school threat

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is investigating a threat at Chinook High School Thursday.

Police say they were called earlier Thursday when a school staff saw a written threat “on school property.”

They do not believe there is an immediate risk, and the investigation is ongoing.

Officers say they will be at the school on Friday during the day, as a precautionary measure.

Meanwhile, classes will still take place as usual, despite police presence.

The LPS says it will not comment further.
