Calgary WinSport ski hill closed due to cold temperatures

Calgary’s WinSport says its ski and snowboard hills will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday due to the freezing cold.

This is due to forecasted temperatures from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), which states temperatures will be around -23 C on Wednesday, -31 C in the morning and -36 C in the afternoon.

The agency says Thursday will be around -24 C.

WinSport says Friday remains unclear, and it will make a decision on Wednesday.

The hills remain open on Tuesday until 9 p.m.
