Lions Park CTrain fight ends in 3 stabbed, 1 arrested: police

One woman is in custody in relation to a fight involving a number of women at the Lions Park CTrain Station, according to the Calgary Police service (CPS).
Officers say they were called to the CTrain station around 8 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. CPS says its District Operations Team happened to be in the area at the time of the incident and was immediately on scene assessing what happened.
Police say when they arrived, they found three stabbed women. Two of the women were taken to hospital with non-critical conditions, they have since been released. Another woman was in critical condition, and she remains in hospital.
CPS believes the women knew each other.
Following this stabbing, The Mayor of Calgary, Jyoti Gondek, issued a statement saying additional resources must be deployed to ensure Calgarians’ safety on transit and said she’ll be sharing more in the coming days.
Charges are pending against the person in custody, according to police.
