Calgary 5 Street open after crash involving power pole

An intersection in the Calgary downtown area, 6 Avenue and 5 Street SW, has reopened after a crash involving a power pole Tuesday.
Officers tell CityNews they received reports of the crash around 7:15 a.m.
They say a Nissan Altima hit the power pole, causing power outages.
Police say the intersection is expected to be closed until the pole can be repaired.

One person sustained an injury due to the collision, but it’s unclear what kind of injury.
According to The City of Calgary, two vehicles are believed to be involved in the crash, closing 5 Street at the intersection. However, police say one vehicle is involved.

The road opened at around 10:30 a.m.
