Calgary Flames Magiapane undergoes shoulder surgery, will be ready for training camp

The Calgary Flames say Andrew Mangiapane underwent shoulder surgery “successfully.”
In a tweet, the team says he will participate in training camp before the start of the 2023-2024 season.

The 27-year-old forward managed 17 goals and 26 assists for 43 points in 82 games in the 2022-2023 season, his sixth in Calgary.
In the previous season, Mangiapane posted career highs of 35 goals and 55 points.
The Toronto native, sitting 5’10” tall and 184 pounds, hasn’t missed a game since the 2019-20 season.
The Calgary Flames missed the playoffs after finishing behind the Winnipeg Jets by two points for the final wild-card spot.
