Carol Henke, a spokesperson with CFD, tells CityNews they called a second alarm shortly after the response.

She adds they responded to one home on fire, with the fire from that one spreading to two other homes.

The fire is believed to have begun in the backyard of one of the homes.

One caller to CityNews says because of the size, it could be spotted all across the city behind COP.

“There’s a massive fire — if you look up towards the ski jumps … something massive is happening,” he said from Bowness Park.
