Calgary fire says “smoke and flames” were discovered underneath train cars at the Tuscany CTrain Station in the city’s northwest Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters handled it quickly after they received calls at around 4:20 p.m.
“When fire crews arrived on scene, some smaller flames were visible,” said Calgary Fire Department spokesperson Carol Henke.
“They got a very quick knockdown, and the fire was confirmed out less than 15 minutes later.”
No injuries have been reported.
Due to firefighters being on the scene, delays were present on westbound Crowchild Trail west of Stoney Trail near the station, but all lanes have been reopened as the trucks left the scene.
