City of Calgary modifies operation hours for long weekend

Hours of operation for some city services are different this weekend due to the Victoria Day holiday.
Getting in and around the city may take a little more time with some traffic closures set to take place.
Starting Saturday, all downtown stations will be closed from Sunalta to Bridgeland/Memorial on the Blue Line, and from Sunnyside to 39 Avenue on the Red Line.
Transit on 7 Avenue will be closed for routine maintenance, so buses will replace Blue Line service between Bridgeland/Memorial and Westbrook stations.
Buses and on-demand transit will run on a Sunday level of service on Victoria Day.
All municipal buildings, including city hall, arenas, arts and leisure centres, are closed, and street sweeping on Monday has been postponed.
On-street parking in designated areas will be free, and holiday rates will be in effect at surface lots and parkades.
City-run golf courses, such as Maple Ridge Golf courses, are adjusting their hours in anticipation of golfers hitting the fairways and the driving range.
For those looking to get ahead of some spring cleaning, the landfill sites at Spyhill and East Calgary are open Saturday to Monday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
