Crash in northwest Calgary leaves one person dead

One person is dead after a three-car crash in Calgary’s northwest Friday.
Police say it happened just before 3 p.m. in the area of Third Avenue and Parkdale Boulevard N.W.
In addition to the fatality, investigators say two other people suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident shut Parkdale Boulevard in both directions between 29 Street and 34 Street N.W. for several hours.

The investigation has the road closed between 29th & 34th Streets — with exceptionally heavy volume on 29th.

Parkdale Blvd was re-opened by police around 9 p.m. Friday.
