Woman injured in downtown C-Train stabbing

A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital after a stabbing outside a C-Train station Tuesday morning.
Calgary police say they responded to a call made by passengers on a downtown train reporting a person in medical distress around 6:30 a.m.
At this time, they believe the assault happened at another a nearby park and the woman made her way to the 8 Street C-Train station where she boarded a train and collapsed.
The woman’s injuries were considered serious, and EMS transported her to hospital in stable condition.

Investigators were not able to confirm whether or not any arrests were made in connection to the incident.
Calgary Transit says delays are possible on the Tuesday commute.
