Man wanted in ATM and safe thefts: Calgary police

Calgary police are looking for a man they believe broke into a series of ATMs throughout Calgary and southern Alberta.

Officers say they received eight reports involving an “unknown man” captured on CCTV footage breaking into safes and ATMs at several banks, with seven other reports of the same thing happening in various southern Alberta communities.

Police say the suspect uses an e-scooter and enters by either smashing through glass with a hammer or using an Angle Grinder or cement saw to cut through doors and fences.
