Lethbridge police investigate after body found in McDonald’s storage shed

Lethbridge police say an investigation is ongoing after a man’s body was found inside a shed last week at a McDonald’s.

On Friday, investigators say they responded to a report around 12:30 p.m. that workers from a restoration company had found a body in a storage shed at a McDonald’s along University Drive.

Police say the shed was previously damaged in a fire on July 3, and the restoration workers were on the scene Friday as a result.

Police say the body has been transported to the medical examiner’s office in Calgary for an autopsy to determine the man’s identity and cause of death.

The circumstances of the death are still under investigation.
