Man electrocuted in workplace incident in northwest Calgary

A man is in serious condition in hospital after what police are calling a workplace incident in the city’s northwest.

Police say the man was working on an electrical line when he was electrocuted around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 12-thousand block of 85th Street.

Police say at this time there is no indication of any criminal negligence.

The man’s identity has not been released.

Occupational Health and Safety and CPS are still investigating.

No other injuries were reported.
