Calgary police look to identify occupants of car involved in NW shooting

Calgary police are asking for the public’s help to identify people riding in a vehicle thought to be involved in a shooting in the city’s northwest Tuesday.

Investigators say shortly after midnight on July 25, it’s believed two men were walking in the area of Ranchero Road NW and Ranchero Drive NW when a vehicle pulled up beside them and fired a gun.

Police say the men weren’t struck by any bullets and were able to get back to their homes safely.

No one was injured in the shooting, but several houses in the area were struck, they add.

At this time, authorities say the shooting is believed to be targeted.

Investigators are now looking to identify the people who were riding in the suspect vehicle, a black BMW sedan.

Anyone with information about the incident, the vehicle involved or its occupants, or anyone who may have security camera or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the shooting is asked to call police at 403-266-1237 or via Crime Stoppers.
