Two men injured in small plane crash south of Calgary

Emergency crews responded Thursday just before 4 p.m. to the scene of a small plane crash east of the High River Regional Airport.

Rob, a witness who was reportedly near the scene going south on Highway 2 says he saw a whole formation of emergency vehicles heading out into a field and a yellow wing sticking up out of the grain stock.

Adam Loria with EMS has confirmed two men have been taken by ground ambulance to Foothills Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time and the victim’s names have not been released.

The Transportation Safety Board has been notified.
