Canada-wide warrant issued for Calgary man who didn’t return to psychiatric facility

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a man who failed to return to the Southern Alberta Forensic Psychiatry Centre following an approved outing earlier this month, according to Calgary police.

Investigators say 52-year-old Patrick Leo McGann is wanted Canada-wide for being unlawfully at large and Alberta-wide for disobeying a court order after he didn’t come back to the psychiatric facility in northern Calgary following an Aug. 2 outing.

Calgary authorities say they, alongside law enforcement across the country, have made several attempts to locate the man, and have not been able to.

It’s believed he may be in Vancouver, B.C., or Ontario.

McGann is 5’11 tall, 157 pounds, with a slim build, blond hair, and blue eyes.

He is believed to be travelling in a light green 2005 Hyundai Elantra, with an Alberta licence plate — CFP 0443.
