Calgary police look to public to find high-value stolen memorabilia

Calgary police are asking the public for help in finding unique movie, t.v., and sports memorabilia stolen from a commercial business earlier this year, so it can be returned to its rightful owners.

At around 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, investigators say two unknown men smashed the glass door of Zero Latency Tilt Calgary, a virtual reality business in the southeast community of Fairview.

Once they entered, the suspects stole valuable merchandise, including a limited-edition Star Wars Darth Vader helmet signed by the original Star Wars cast, a signed Star Trek jersey, a signed Calgary Flames jersey and various other collectables and memorabilia, collectively valued at approximately $51,000, according to police.

The signed Darth Vader helmet is arguably the highest-valued item, police add.

These items have yet to be found and investigators are looking to the public for any information about their location.

One of the suspects is described as wearing a black hooded sweater with white stripes along the arms with the hood pulled up, a black toque, a a black backpack, black gloves, black sweatpants with the words believed to say “Champion” in red going down the left leg, and black and white running shoes.

The second individual is described as wearing a black and grey baseball hat with the words “On Tilt,” a black balaclava, a black hooded zipper sweater with grey sleeves and grey hood, black pants, shoes and gloves.

Police say both people left the scene in what is thought to be a blue 2004-2007 Chevrolet Aveo.

Anyone with information about this incident, the identity of the suspects or the location of any of the items is asked to contact Calgary Police at 403-266-1234 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
