Annual Labour Day Classic game returns to Mcmahon Stadium

The Calgary Stampeders host the Edmonton Elks tonight in the annual Battle of Alberta on Labour Day.

The two historic teams have struggled this season and occupy the last two places in the West Division.

But while Calgary has lost three straight to the league’s top three teams, Edmonton has won two in a row after opening the season 0-and-9.

Tonight is also Canadian Armed Forces appreciation night. There will be a CF-18 flyover just ahead of the kickoff at 5 p.m.
