Brawl breaks out, shots fired outside Lethbridge pub: police

Police say shots were fired during a fight outside a Hudson’s Taphouse in Lethbridge early Sunday morning, and police are investigating the incident.

Officers say they responded around 2:30 a.m. after reports of multiple gunshots outside the main entrance to the pub in the 900 block of 2 Avenue South.

Police say before the incident, two men were spotted fighting, and security personnel got involved.

Shortly afterwards, Lethbridge police say a white SUV pulled up and two men jumped out and started confronting people in the parking lot, leading to a large brawl. At that time, multiple gunshots were fired.

No injuries were reported.

Police say they recovered a bullet from the wall above the entrance and seized a knife they believe was dropped by one of the men.

The investigation is ongoing. Police say several witnesses have already been interviewed, but they are asking anyone who was present during the incident or may have information to come forward.

Police ask anyone with information about this incident to call them at 403-328-4444 and reference file 23021550 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
