Calgary police arrest man at 6 Avenue station
A man has been arrested at a downtown Calgary Transit station, which prompted the trains to briefly stop running Tuesday.
Calgary police tell CityNews they received reports about a package with an explosive device in a train at the 6 Avenue SW CTrain station.
K-9 officers and the tactical team attended the situation and quickly arrested a man in relation to the call after the claim was deemed false.

Calgary Transit trains weren’t able to move on both the blue line and the red line, but they started moving again shortly after 1 p.m.

One witness told CityNews riders rushed off the CTrain after the man stood up and yelled at everyone to get off the train.
It’s unclear what kind of charges the man will face.
No one was hurt.
