Man shot to death through window in NE Pineridge: Calgary police

Calgary police have ruled the death of a man found in the city’s northeast Sunday a homicide after they say he was shot through a window.

The chief medical examiner confirmed the identity of the body as 58-year-old Calgary man Ali Shaiet.

Calls came in at around 12 p.m. for reports of a man in distress at a home on the 2000 block of 65 Street in the Pineridge neighbourhood, according to police.

When officers arrived, they say the man was found dead.

Investigators believe the victim was shot through the window of a home, but add the investigation is ongoing.
