The Alberta government has launched a new virus dashboard to report on respiratory viruses in the province.

Alberta’s Minister of Health Adriana LaGrange says in a statement, the updated dashboard “harmonizes” the reporting of respiratory virus data, aligning with the practices of other provinces.

RSV cases, COVID-19 cases, and influenza cases, all with positivity rates, hospital and ICU admissions, and deaths, are reported via the dashboard.

A historical data tab is expected to be populated in the coming days, according to the province, which will provide year-by-year historical data by respiratory virus season.

“Moving forward, the dashboard will be updated every Thursday throughout the respiratory virus season. This season occurs annually, beginning around the end of August,” LaGrange said.
