1 charged in fatal NE hit-and-run: Calgary police

A man has been charged in connection with a fatal hit and run in the city’s northeast that happened in the summer, Calgary police say.
The incident happened at 34 Street and 37 Avenue in the community of Horizon around 1:30 a.m. on July 21.
EMS says upon arriving at the scene, crews found a dead adult woman who had been struck by a vehicle.

Calgary man 45-year-old Rajnesh Kumar faces hit-and-run and hit-and-run causing death charges.
He is expected to appear in court on Jan. 3, 2024.
