The Calgary Police Service says its December checkstop campaign resulted in a handful of impaired drivers being taken off city roads.
Over the last month, CPS teamed up with RCMP and Sheriff Highway Patrol to stop more than 2,500 vehicles, and administer more than 2,500 breathalyzers.
Seven people at five different checkstops were found to be over the limit during patrols.
Last year, the holiday checkstop campaign removed 39 impaired drivers from Calgary and area roads.
