A 27-year-old man was killed after driving into the path of a snowplow in the city’s northeast Friday, Calgary police say.
Officers say a Jeep was driving north on Westwinds Drive at 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 12 at the same time as a snowplow, which was going south.
They say as the road began to curve, the driver “failed to negotiate” it and drove into the path of the snowplow.
The man was declared dead on the scene. The snowplow driver suffered no injuries.
Traffic was closed for several hours while police investigated.
Investigators are looking into speed as a factor in the crash.
