Airdrie RCMP seek 7-11 armed robbery suspect

A man suspected of committing an armed robbery of a 7-11 in Airdrie early Sunday is wanted by RCMP.

Mounties believe the suspect fled the convenience store at 2002 Luxstone Boulevard on foot heading westbound on Yankee Valley Boulevard following reports they received of the crime at 12:44 a.m. on Jan. 20.

The suspect is described as a man who is 5’9″ tall with an average build, and a “higher pitched voice.”

RCMP say he was last seen wearing a red and white Zoo York hoodie, a black toque, a black balaclava, black latex gloves, beige pants, and dark-coloured shoes which they say could be Under Armour.

Police say the suspect is armed with a firearm and warn the public not to approach him if he is spotted.
