Calgarian lucky winner in December Lotto 6/49 draw

A Calgary grandma is $1 million richer thanks to a recent lottery win.
The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) says Luciana Luistro’s Lotto 6/49 ticket won on the Dec. 16 draw.
“I’m going to pass out!” she said while claiming her prize. “I’ve been playing since 1991, and I just can’t believe it.”
Luistro moved to Alberta from Ontario to be closer to her grandkids and is now looking forward to spoiling them with her extra cash.
She says she also wants to buy a house and maybe pay off her daughter’s home.

Luistro bought her $4 Lotto 6/49 ticket at the TNT Supermarket on 36 Street NE.
Someone in Alberta is also a whole lot richer, but has yet to claim their prize, the WCLC says.
A Lotto 6/49 ticket was bought outside Calgary and Edmonton and was the winner of the $1 million prize on the March 8, 2023 Gold Ball draw.
Winners have one year to claim their prize.
The million-dollar-winning number on the Wednesday, March 8, 2023, draw was: 29731883-01. The winner or winners can contact Player Care at 1-800-665-3313 to start their claim process.
