Calgary police investigating northeast homicide

Calgary police are asking the public to come forward with information after a man was found dead this week in the city’s northeast.
Investigators say on Wednesday, Feb. 14, officers were called to Grier Avenue NE for reports that a man was found dead inside a home.
An autopsy was completed on Thursday, Feb. 15, and police have ruled the death a homicide.
Police say the victim is 28-year-old Calgarian Jose Miguel Gutierrez Polanco.
Anyone who knew Jose or may have been in contact with him is asked to contact police.
Investigators believe he last spoke with his family on Sunday, Jan. 28.
He is 5’7″ tall, about 160 pounds, with long, dark hair in dreadlocks.
Police are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity near the 300 block of Grier Avenue NE on Sunday, Jan. 28 and Monday, Jan 29 to come forward.
The homicide unit continues to investigate.
