Garage goes up in flames in NW Thorncliffe

A fire ripped through the garage of a home in the city’s northwest Friday.

Fire crews were called around 5:30 p.m. to the community of Thorncliffe to find the detached garage fully engulfed in flames.

Crews were able to prevent the flames from spreading to the home, but the garage is considered a total loss.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
