Calgary police look to identify suspect in bank robbery

Calgary police are asking for help in identifying a man they believe robbed a bank over the weekend.
On Saturday, Feb. 17 around 11:40 a.m., investigators say a disguised man went into a Scotiabank at 6449 Crowchild Trail SW, when he handed a robbery note to a staff member and gestured that he had a gun.

The employee followed the demands of the robber, and the man left the scene with an unknown amount of money before police arrived.
Police say no weapon was seen and no injuries were reported.
The suspect is around 30 years old, about 5’8″ tall and 200 pounds with a large build and a red beard.

He was last seen wearing a black toque, blue medical mask, a black jacket with a white zipper, a black sweater, blue jeans, and black and white Converse shoes. The man was also wearing earphones.
