By CityNews Staff

Emergency crews attended the scene of a car fire in Calgary’s downtown core Thursday morning.

Calgary Fire tells CityNews it responded around 8:20 a.m. to 4 Avenue and 6 Street SW following reports of a vehicle fire, and that someone was laying unconscious nearby.

However, when they arrived, the fire was extinguished and the person had seemingly vanished.

Calgary police have now taken over the investigation from Calgary Fire and say in a statement that three people were taken into custody on scene, and one person was treated on scene by EMS.

This is a developing story.
