Calgary police searching for man wanted in ‘targeted’ shooting

Calgary police are looking for a man wanted in connection to a targeted shooting that happened in the southwest last month.
Investigators say on Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, around 4 a.m., police were called to a home on 22 Avenue SW for reports of a man in medical distress.
When they arrived, officers found a man who had been shot. He was was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.
During the investigation days later, police found out the victim had been shot by someone well-known to him following an argument that had started several hours before.
On Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, police executed a search warrant at the home on 22 Avenue SW, where they found evidence that led to charges being laid against one man.
Cosmos Lowingali is now wanted on several warrants, including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent, using a firearm while committing an indictable offence, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, possessing a firearm without a license, and possessing a restricted/prohibited firearm with ammunitions.
Police have so far been unsuccessful in finding the 25-year-old and are now asking the public for help.
He is 5’6″ tall, 120 pounds, with a slim build, black hair, and brown eyes.
