Part of Calgary’s Blue Line to close for maintenance this week

Calgarians who use the Blue Line will see some changes to their travels over the Easter long weekend.

Calgary Transit says from Friday, March 29 to Sunday, March 31 the Blue Line will be closed between 69 Street Station and Westbrook Station.

This will affect Westbrook, 45 Street, Sirocco, and 69 Street Stations.

Buses will replace train service between these stations and run every five minutes, according to Calgary Transit.

Full CTrain service will be back up and running on Monday, April 1.

Calgary Transit says this closure is to allow time for a number of repair and maintenance projects, including glass repair at 69 Street Station, switch machine maintenance, standpipe inspections, upgrades and maintenance work in the tunnels, and fall arrest inspections.
