Driver seriously injured after crash involving semi-truck in SE Calgary

Roads have reopened in southeast Calgary after a serious crash involving a semi-truck that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.
Emergency crews were called to the area of 84 Street SE and 61 Avenue SE around 1:45 p.m. for reports of a collision.

The male driver of the other vehicle was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Police say the injured driver was the only occupant in the vehicle.
84 Street was closed in both directions north of 61 Avenue. 61 Avenue was closed in both directions from Stoney Trail to Wrangler Road.
The closures were in place for several hours but roads have since reopened.
