Southern Alberta man reunites with dogs who kept him warm, safe from coyotes while stuck in a ditch

By The Canadian Press

An animal rescue in southern Alberta has posted a video of an owner being reunited with his two dogs after they made headlines earlier this month.

The Taber Lost Paws Society video shows the two Akitas, named Hero and Tora, excited to see their owner, who the video identifies only as Alan.

Police say Hero kept his master warm and safe from coyotes when the man got stuck in a muddy ditch for two days.

The Taber Lost Paws Society cared for the dogs while their master recovered in hospital, and also launched a successful GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for vet bills.
