Calgary police investigating overnight shooting related to ‘organized-crime conflict’

Police are investigating a shooting in northeast Calgary that they say is connected to an “organized-crime conflict.”

Police are investigating an overnight shooting in northeast Calgary that they say is connected to an “organized-crime conflict.”

Officers were called to Tararidge Court NE, near Falconridge Blvd and 64 Avenue ,around 1:30 a.m. Monday for reports of a shooting outside a home.

Police found several rounds of ammunition that they believe struck a residence in the area.

No injuries were reported.

The suspects fled the area before officers arrived and no arrests have been made.

“This is believed to be a targeted incident and is believed to be related to organized-crime conflict,” reads a Calgary police release.

Investigators are reviewing security footage and looking to speak to witnesses.
