Woman struck and killed by vehicle on Calgary Centre Street Bridge

A woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Centre Street bridge early Sunday morning, Calgary police say.
It happened at around 2 a.m. at Centre Street and Samis Road NE.
Acting Staff Sgt. Lee Treit tells CityNews the woman, believed to be in her 20s, was crossing the bridge when she was struck.
He says the driver remained at the scene.
Emergency crews rushed her to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she died.
No charges have been laid at this time.
Centre Street bridge was closed between Samis Road and 2 Avenue until around 8 a.m. while police investigated.
