Ryan Reynolds isn’t shy about professing his love for his hometown of Vancouver, but he might be torn over who to cheer for as he brings his Welsh soccer club to Canada this summer.

Reynolds’ Wrexham AFC is set to line up against the Vancouver Whitecaps on July 27 at BC Place.

Reynolds, along with fellow actor Rob McElhenney, bought Wrexham in 2020 and have helped it move up through the ranks of English football, now promoted to the FA’s third tier — EFL League One.

The “Wrex Coast Tour” will also hit other cities across North America, including Santa Barbara and Santa Clara in California, where the Red Dragons will take on AFC Bournemouth and Chelsea, respectively.

Speaking to TSN, Reynolds says it’s his turn to bring the team to his hometown, after Wrexham travelled to Philadelphia — McElhenney’s hometown — last year.

“I’m so excited my hometown club, the Whitecaps, will get to square off against the Red Dragons,” he said.

“My official stance on the match will be a very friendly ‘neutral’ even if I will be screaming for a Paul Mullin hat trick.”

Tickets go on sale at 12 p.m. Thursday through Ticketmaster.
